The Next Phase of Racial Equity in Philanthropy: Building the Infrastructure for Lasting Change
Amid a shifting political landscape, equity work is entering a new phase. In this article, Morales Consulting outlines how philanthropy can power the infrastructure necessary to sustain cross-racial solidarity over time.
We draw on our partnerships with Chicago’s philanthropic affinity groups, Chicago Latines in Philanthropy (CLIP), Chicago African Americans in Philanthropy (CAAIP), and Philanthropy for Asian American Action Chicago (PAAAC).
Since 2021, Morales Consulting has served as lead consultant for CLIP, alongside Norman E. Clark (CAAIP) and Rupal Soni (PAAAC). This partnership has been deeply meaningful to our firm. Together, this work reflects a collective effort to build a more inclusive philanthropic sector in Chicago, demonstrating the power of cross-racial collaboration, abundance, and coordinated strategies to drive sector-wide change.
